Bravely I sailed away in an uncharted sea,
Minus map, compass, captain or crew;
I missed my mooring, suffered shipwreck too.
A titanic storm raged against poor 'me'.
Please pilot 'me' across this sea, let pity be;
Unless your able craft sends me swift rescue,
My dinghy's sure to sink in deepest briny blue.
Be my life-boat, I pray, my soul's in jeopardy.
A salt doll in some fable, proudly walked
Into the sea, daring to try and plumb the deep.
She dissolved in rough water, her great leap,
Her effort bold, had been obliquely balked.
So unless you wake me from my cabinet sleep,
I'll beach like Jonah's whale, by harpoon stalked.
