GURU TIGER'S JAWS

SONNETS OF EXPERIENCE

GURU TIGER'S JAWS
Into the jungle wild a hunter strolled,
Suddenly from the bush a fierce tiger rolled
Over and grabbed the stalker by the throat,
He ripped off the poor man's overcoat.
Tiger chewed without mercy untill death,
And hunter gave up before his last breath.
That's the metaphor the Sat Guru uses,
To end our egotistic mind's abuses.
He makes as tough a situation as He can,
Sadhak bewildered resists like a man,
'Till he surrenders in Guru tiger's jaws,
Then rests helpless in His loving paws.
The moral of this famous teaching tale;
Surrender in Guru tiger's jaws it shall never fail.

INVINCIBLE POWER

SONNETS OF EXPERIENCE

INVINCIBLE POWER
Of the wondrous universe we well behold,
On our screen of consciousness awareness.
We see only a paltry part, the mere threshold,
Of Self, our Great Brahmanic Power. And less
We forget, 'That' illumines each single hour,
Unveiling bold blessed beauty to unfold.
We reach the Heart for patient waiting soul,
A flow of bliss, a sweet refreshing shower,
Draws us deeply in, with exquisite grace.
Divine Mother's love is there to make us whole,
Once again we'll know our true original face,
Self, or God, whose promised pledge will trace
The way to freedom and liberation,
Granting us the grace of Self Realisation.

ALL IS WELL

SONNETS OF EXPERIENCE

ALL IS WELL

All is well unfolding as it must and should,
How can it be otherwise than good?
That's the Enlightened Sage's wake up call,
His mantric message transmitted to us all.
We only see the surface of a dream,
On our consciousness-awareness screen,
Then by grace comes the teaching of the Sage,
To free us from the prison of our bondage cage.
He tells us simply, "Please just Self Enquire,
Surrender to 'That' spiritual fire,
Of the Sat-Guru dwelling in your Heart.
Then some fine day from ego you'll surely part,
That's all dear friends you really need to do,
To discover your own True Self whose really you"!

HEART OF FIRE

Let's stoke a blazing fire deep in the heart,
Chuck all vasanas on that funeral pyre,
Then invoke Real Self purified from mire.
That's indeed sadhak's much needed art.
Although in life we play our destined part,
As actors on the stage of life, set to enquire
Who Am I? and in Self Abidance we retire,
Then a new fulfilled life begins to start.
If fate forces us to act a certain role,
Do so without anxious attachment,
That's essential to make one truly whole.
Live a peaceful life in calm detachment,
That's devoted earnest sadhak's only goal.
To fill soul with love and bliss, heart's golden bowl.

THE SAGE

THE SAGE

The Great Sage, unfathomable, free from fear,
In Heart's fair field stands firm. His solitude
Fulfils the throbbing pulse of Earth's beatitude.
For those asleep, their time and space are dear,
But there's just One existence for the Seer.
No place remains in His placid plenitude
For shadows 'real' or 'unreal' to occlude,
No more seems the Sun to rise or set, yet's here.
How, feeling the blazing orb playing on a world,
Can He, whose natural state is Self empowered,
Perceiving a precious ring, see ought than gold?
As the blue lotus flowers is his life embowered.
Sage awake, remembers not his worldly dream,
His garb, the Self, is like a cloak without a seam.

SURRENDER

SONNETS OF EXPERIENCE

SURRENDER
The supreme act a man or woman can perform
Is total surrender of the mind to Self alone;
Done with sincerity and highest moral tone,
Soul's then received and no longer moans forlorn.
The thief repents to steal no more, torn and worn
By conscience pricks he now really does atone,
Rejoices in freedom instead of prisoned groan,
So by surrender he knows a bright new dawn.
Like a bad boxer battered by biffs and blows,
He throws the towel into ring with real relief,
The wise aspirant who surrenders fully knows,
He's forgiven like that bad repentent thief.
Surrender is the golden key to freedom's gate,
We must act at once before it is too late!

CHILDREN IN THE DARK

SONNETS OF EXPERIENCE

CHILDREN IN THE DARK
We're like bad children in the black of night,
The brilliance of Brahman Self's sunlight,
Is darkly veiled by vasanas and mind.
To awaken from this dream we must find
Great Truth given by the Sat Guru inside,
Who within our spiritual heart does abide.
He says "Surrender and Self Enquire within,
Then I'll save you from this dire mortal sin,
Then you'll awaken to enlightened bliss,
Greeted by Divine Mother's loving kiss.
So never ever suffer dread despair,
I'm within you and I'm everywhere.
My name my child is Bhagavan Ramana,
I've come to save you from sad samsara".
