HONEYSUCKLE

Beautiful bloom, flower of the wild,
Whose yellow and white petals display,
The soft innocence of a new born child,
Enriching hedges at the time of May.

Her heady sweet perfume so strong at night,
Is like an offering to ones favoured Gods,
It fills the air with fragrant sheer delight,
That even out shines bright Golden Rods.

It's an emblem of pure romantic love,
To bless the wedding of man and wife.
It's as if a blessing descends from above,
To guard and protect them all their life.

It  the wonder of an English country lane,
Its nectar attracts and's well sipped by bees,
It flourishes from each blest shower of rain,

God decorates our lives with flowers like these.
